how to best use the AIBotOrNot? Game
The
AIBotOrNot?
Game has been designed as a group playing and learning experience,
rather than for individual players. Nevertheless, if after playing,
individuals are interested in questions like “What is behind this Game?”
or “What can I learn from this Game?”, they can structure and support
their self-learning process with the material included in the
"Boost Your Skills" section.
develop and enhance practical Capabilities
related to AI-Human interaction and the opportunities and challenges
of Conversational AI. These are also the 3 building blocks supporting
the game debriefing process.

You can find detailed information about the Debriefing Building Blocks in the "Boost Your Skills" section.
This Game is much more fun and insightful when played with others, ideally
in a Team. In fact, both the playing (let’s address a challenge) and
the debriefing (what can we learn from this experience?) can
greatly profit from human interaction. Nevertheless, to
best
debrief their game
experience, individuals are invited to:
1. Play
the Game a few times – using the 3 Statements Sets available on the
Game Homepage.
2. Move
to the "Boost Your Skills" section and start their individual reflection by reviewing
the Insights Section

3. Review the
Principles Section
4. Conclude by reviewing the
Capabilities section and the Special
Section on Attention to Details
A natural follow up consists in:
Validating the insights and capabilities acquired by playing again with new Statements Sets (more coming soon)
Sharing your Game and Debriefing experience with others, who might find it interesting too
Send us feedback on how to make the Game and the Debriefing experience even
more valuable.
When played by small or large groups (during a course, a workshop, a meeting, a conference, …) the Game can be deployed as an efficient icebreaker and flow in the following way.
First a decision should be taken if the group of Participants will be
divided in Teams or if everybody will play individually.
Playing individually is
faster (5 minutes max) while Teams should be
given 10 to 15 minutes to play the Game assessing and finding a consensus on
all the 5 Statements they will be presented with.
Playing in Teams provides for a
richer experience, as Participants
not only interact with the Game, but also with their team members, profiting
from different perspectives and insights, and challenged to find rapidly an
agreement on the 5 decisions they will have to take together.

The “AI Bot Index” is built on averaging the inputs
(for each Statement the Participants/Teams will have selected either “H” for
Human or “A” for AI Bot and provided a Certainty Level displayed in the
following column). It expresses the probability that each Statement is
produced by an AI Bot rather than by a Human.
Interacting with the group, identifying the Teams which have had the highest or the lowest scores, and ask them to comment and share their insights and first impressions.
Involving the group in a short discussion about great or horrible experiences they have had interacting with AI Bots.
Showing the overall results and commenting the AI Bot Index of each Statement.
Pointing to the opportunity that Participants have to play again and dive
deeper into the subject by reviewing the material on Insights, Principles and
Capabilities related to the Game, explaining how
they can for instance easily improve their capability to focus on relevant
details to improve their accuracy when assessing it a statement comes from
an AI Bot or a Human
-
using for instance one of the many examples included
in the section “Attention to Detail – Where AI Bots and Humans tend to
differ”.
If more time is available for a longer debriefing, the "Boost Your Skills" section provides several material and suggestions on how to design an effective and intersting debriefing session. All the concrete examples of statements that you will find there, particularly in the Attention to Detail section, will help you challenging further your Participants in developing the capability to recognize if they are interacting with an AI Bot, or with a Human.
